I'm a fan (and you should be too) because the band is just so FUN. Everyone around me keep on asking why I love Hey Monday and yet I hate Paramore? Well, it's because -- yes, we can say that that Williams' voice is pretty and overreaching and everything, and that Cass's is just "somewhere a little beyond mediocre, but not as great," as they say -- there's just something SO SERIOUS about Paramore. Like they only have this little goal: reach the top of MTV, be the best, walk down history as allegedly the first band with an only girl vocalist to be ever recognized.

While Hey Monday is just the opposite. I love how their songs are fun, quirky, make you want to dance and just do everything you can with a song. It's flexible and the words hurt so much you just have to take it by heart. The words and experiences embedded in them are so personal and teenage-angsty. They're normal. They're not goth, or trying to be one. I love all that fun about them.

I'm sorry if this has turned into some psycho comparison between two extremely different bands, but it just pisses me off about why people keep on pushing Paramore into consciousness of others as if they needed them. Come on. And stop liking them just because you want to hump the vocalist.

I am a fan not just because everybody is. I am a fan because I simply listen to the music. That's what this is all about, isn't it?
