Dang guys, i'm sorry about the loss of your bass player=( saw you in Cincy in july and absolutely loved jersey and you all.
I'm not trying to be weird but i was wondering who would be the new bass player for Hey Monday, i mean...i play bass, and i love playing hey monday songs from hold on tight.
just wondering if i had what it takes to play in the music scene.

I've been a fan now for i think a little more than 2 months, but i quickly became addicted to your music, so i'm not happy about this one bit cause Jersey was one of my favorites, but it was his choice so all i can say is that i'll miss him a lot. i just hope that no one else will leave cause it just wouldn't be the same.

i was really upset about this. i was on my way to the best buy performance last night and my friend told me about it but i for sure didn't believe her and when i saw them come out and he wasn't there i was so upset but everything happens for a reason. we'll miss you dearly jersey and good luck <3

Its sad that Jersey is leaving but I hope everything goes well to him in the future. I was looking forward to see Hey Monday on the fall tour, but I don't think that will be happening anymore! I been a fan for like a year (or more) and after seeing you guys at Warped, you guys became one of my favorite bands now. It was great meeting you guys at Tinley Park Warped Tour. Sure it was disappointing seeing Jersey leave right after Warped, but I appreciate his decision and respect it on leaving and hope him the best! Have fun rocking out solo!

wow... it sucks that he decided to leave but its his decision and nobody can change that. well i really cant think of much to say except that ill miss him.

I have been a fan since your first album came out... I saw the WHOLE, ORIGINAL lineup on the last date of the BND tour in St Paul on May 17, 2009. The band has changed, but then again you are still a fairly new group... At the concert in St Paul Cass stated that they had been together for only a year. I understand why people left the band, because it was still so new to them and I'm sure when they started they thought they'd have time to get used to being in a band before they lost their normal lives. Touring is hard. Being away from family and friends all the time. Hey Monday has been touring for pretty much the whole last two years...

I wish Jersey luck and can't wait to see and hear who joins the group next. I just gotta say that Mike MUST MUST MUST stay... And of course Cass.

Reading Jersey's blog it says that he doesn't know what he want's to do now, which doesn't make much sense to me. But it's his decision and I'm sure that it was a good one, for whatever reason.

I seriously teared up (just like everyone else) when I saw the tweet & read the news. This is EXTREMELY depressing to me, I haven't even seen Hey Monday live, & I've been anticipating for the day when I would meet the entire band.. But whatever his reason is for leaving, I'm sure it's a logical one. Jersey, you have left a legacy, not only with Hey Monday & me, but with numerous music lovers everywhere. Good luck with whatever your future plans are. I'll miss you!

I don't understand. Why is he leaving? I read his blog but it was all about things he'll miss about being in the band. There was nothing about what he's moving onto, since he mentioned he doesn't even know what he wants to do. Why would he leave you guys if he doesn't even know what he wants to do? That doesn't make much sense, but I'm not gonna judge 'cause it's his decision. I wish him the best, and it's too bad that you guys aren't missing a guitarist, 'cause I would run to try-outs in a heartbeat.

So sad. I'm a newer fan of Hey Monday but have quickly fallen in love with the music and the people. I'm so glad that I was able to see Hey Monday live a couple times and meet Jersey before he decided to leave the band. Of course I will still support the band and Jersey in whatever he does.
