Ok, first let's start with the stereotypical stuff, which I still believe is true, even if it is what EVERYONE else says. Hey Monday has awesome music. You can relate to it. They write their own songs. The whole band is super hot. One of them looks like a vampire. Yadda yadda yadda. Now on to the real reason(s) I love Hey Monday.
Everyone is really nice! I just watched one of their free, acoustic release tours, and apparently it was the VERY FIRST TIME Cassadee EVER messed up! Well, live, I mean. Cassadee, if you're reading this, which I doubt you are, but whatev, you know what I'm talking about. No offense Cass, but I'm pretty sure you've messed up before then. Anyway, for me, it just proved that not all rock stars are perfect! Everyone messes up once in a while! Plus, even though most of the band was really quiet *cough cough the guys cough* talking wise, when they did speak up, it was funny and cute. Also, when I went to get my CDs signed, you guys didn't just scribble on it randomly and say "Move it, there's a zillion other brats waiting in line and my hand's already starting to hurt." That has happened to me before with another band, btw. But you guys were actually TALKING to me and my friend! I felt super special, especially when you complimented my outfit. Wow, saying all this is making me feel like a crazed, over-obsessed fan. It's true though!
How did I discover them? My cousin's in a band called Period 6. His band actually opened once for Hey Monday! When he came to visit my family (he lives in Chicago, I'm in Virginia) he brought me their first CD, and I loved it! It was just, idk, good! Anyway, I made a bunch of my friends listen too, and then they fell in love! So, Hey Monday, you have James from Period 6 to thank for bringing you like 20 new fans.
Ok, I think I'm done. This is waaaay longer than I thought it would be. Oh well. It's summer. I have nothing better to do. Anyway, yeah. This is why I love Hey Monday. Luv ya guys! Sophie B.
Re: Footage From NYC Show On Teen.com
Hey guys! This doesn't have a lot to do with the subject, but just wanted to let you know that "Homecoming" made "Girls Life" magazine's Top 100 Songs, so congrats! Can't be there personally (concert sold out, unfortunately, even my cousin who once opened for me couldn't get tix), so good luck with the rest of your tour!
Love,
Sophie B.
